Day Services

Thornage Hall offers a range of Day Services in traditional arts and craft and land based activities.  We run our day services like a work place, you are expected to arrive on time for workshops and work hard and follow instruction of the workshop leader.

Everyone has an individual skills based assessment for each workplace, and this can be used as evidence of the skills you have learned which you can take with you if you want to move on to work or voluntary placements.

How do I get to attend?

  • Contact us by phone or email on the contact page
  • First we arrange for you to visit and have a look around so you can decide if you think it is for you
  • Then you will need to complete an application form
  • Then we will arrange to meet you with your social worker to assess your needs and discuss what workshops you would like to attend.
  • If you would like another visit or think a trial might be a good idea we can discuss that as well. We will then talk about how you will be funded and we can arrange for you to start.
