Day volunteers provide our workshops alongside paid staff. We have volunteers giving their time for many different reasons whether it is because of an interest in arts and crafts, farming, or because they want experience in health and social care. Our volunteers enjoy giving their time and being part of our community. Without them it would not be possible to maintain the high standards of care and support in everything we do.
Pianist for Eurythmy
Can you play the piano? Do you know local pianists or piano teachers?
We are urgently looking for a pianist to play for our eurythmy movement session. At the moment it would be for the session on Tuesdays from 19.00 till 19:45. And perhaps to sometimes supply for 2 afternoon sessions, also on Tuesday from 16.15-17:45. The music is simple classical & popular piano pieces, with some improvisations. “Eurythmy” means “beautiful rhythm”, it is a new art of movement created by Rudolf Steiner: it has been taught in Steiner Schools and Camphills all over the world including Japan! Currently about 15 tenants are enjoying our weekly Tuesday classes.
