What are we raising money for?
Sensory Room (quiet space)
Our service users and tenants sometimes need time away from their daily activities which can sometimes be busy and noisy where there can be lots of people with varying needs and demands.
A little time away somewhere quiet, soothing and calming can make such a difference. Currently, we lack a designated quiet space within the community, but we are eager to modify our existing facilities to create a supportive environment for our service users.
To enhance this space, we plan to incorporate various sensory equipment such as bubble towers, comfortable chairs or bean bags, and potentially a ball pool. Additionally, calming music will be integrated to foster a serene atmosphere.
Equally the Magic Table would be located in this space.
Appeal for a 9-Seater VW Transporter Van
We are reaching out for support to help us secure a vital resource for our work: a 9-seater Volkswagen Transporter van.
This vehicle will make a significant difference to the people we support in day services, enabling greater choice in activities, inclusion, and access to the community.
Our target is £40,000, for a second hand vehicle, and we are pleased to share that we have already raised £6,200 towards this goal from grant applications. This is a fantastic start, but we still have a long way to go.
With your help, we can:
- Provide safe and comfortable group transport
- Enabling more community engagement
- Increase opportunity and variety for day service users
- Improve overall wellbeing and quality of life for those we support
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to making this happen. Your support will directly impact lives, helping people stay connected, active, and independent.
If you are able to donate, fundraise, or share this appeal, we would be incredibly grateful.
Together, we can get this vehicle on the road and make a lasting difference.
Nominated Charities
Every year, our community comes together with a shared commitment to making a difference. We engage in a collective process to carefully nominate four charities that we would like to raise money for.
As the seasons unfold, we celebrate four lively events that fuel our fundraising endeavours. In the past we have helped raise money by hosting a Christmas disco, sponsored walk, sing-a-thon, a tuck shop and many more.
Some of the many charities we have supported include:
- BBC Children in Need
- Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer Care
- East Anglian Air Ambulance
- RNLI Wells
- The Norfolk RDA (Riding for the Disabled)
- Cromer Foodbank
